Green Freight Asia recently held the first session of its ‘green club,’ the Green Freight Leaders’ Society (GFLS) last 28 March 2018 in Singapore. Hosted by Heineken, the event brought about 20 executives from 13 organizations representing all sectors - business, government, non-profit and academe.

GFLS, meant to be an informal gathering is structured to help build a better relationship among the executives under the GFA network and GFA partner organizations. On its first gathering, which lasted for 2 hours, attendees learned about the sustainability initiatives of Heineken and also heard first hand, the recent results of a study on Singapore's urban freight transport, followed by casual conversations over dinner and beer.

GFA is deeply grateful to HEINEKEN®, a founding member of GFA for sponsoring the first GFLS session. HEINEKEN® had generously provided a private room for the gathering, a dinner reception and freshly brewed beer in its Tiger Tavern for everyone’s enjoyment.

What our participants say about the event:

“Speeches were great, good balance between concrete business cases and inspiring research work for the future. Very nice venue that helped mingling and getting to know each other.”

“Casual, cosy atmosphere was great for meeting new people in the industry, venue was conducive and the food was awesome! Content of the presentations were relevant and very useful.”

“Re-do the same!”
