Joe is the APAC Transport Sustainability Lead at DHL Supply Chain, spearheading low-carbon logistics innovations across Asia Pacific. With a strategic focus on electrification of own fleet, decarbonizing transport networks, and providing sustainable solutions to customers. Joe collaborates across markets to drive scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with DHL Group climate goals.

CharIN advances global E-mobility by standardizing EV charging, focusing on transport. It promotes the Combined Charging System (CCS) for all type of EV and develops the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for heavy-duty transport, ensuring interoperable, efficient charging infrastructure worldwide.


About the Speaker for Session 2: Jacques Borremans

Jacques is the CharIN Asia Managing Director since 2016. He promoted the rollout of the Combined Charging System (CCS)/MCS (Megawatt Charging System)/ ISO15118-20 for E-Mobility in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He is also the Managing Director for Sigma – W2 Ltd since 1991. He has also been responsible for business development, assisting technology companies with their European or Asian market entry and implementing sales & market strategies for Western companies into Asia. Jacques holds an MBA from Rutgers University (NJ, USA) and a Master’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in Applied Nuclear Physics (University of Brussels, Belgium).
