Three Ways to Offset Carbon Emissions:

Investment into Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency to lower energy consumption and generate green energy that does not emit high levels of GHG emissions
Through tradable Renewable Energy Certificates that offset Scope 2 emissions ( i.e. emissions associated with the purchase of the electricity, steam, heating and cooling)
Through tradable Carbon Credits (that offset Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions through carbon allowance in emission trading systems)
